Not meaning to take away from the Cali scene at all. Just having some love for the motherland. <3 The bands are great here, but the scene is shit, which is why American metal seems to get much more coverage. I've went to shows in Ottawa that couldn't fill a small bar, but it was still rife with energy.

I'm also Canadian, and honestly California is where it's at. Decrepit Birth, Deeds of Flesh, Severed Savior, etc. There's some sick bands in Canada don't get me wrong, but the concentration of awesomness, the sqaure footage of amazing, is off the charts down there.
