I forgot how much i liked DC Talk i have not listened to much Christian music over the years and i am rediscovering how good that music was when i found an old box filled with tape cassetts of christian music. I want to go back to that time in my life when i loved this kind of music and i remember how i would listen to this music for hours.

If you listen to the end you can hear Charlie Peacock himself do a little background singing. I always liked it that they brought him in to sing a bit on his own song.

I have always loved DC Talk too but, one thing I've noticed that has been said over & over again is things like, " Their music is held up over the years" or "even though I'm not a Christian, I still love this group" & others. I will tell you why you feel this way. Regardless of how much time passes or what happens in the world the music is about someone who NEVER changes so the message of the music never changes. Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today, yes and forever "(NAS). God has loved us from the beginning of time before we even existed and has always had a plan for us. Ps. 139:16 tells us that His eyes saw our unformed substance & that ALL our days were written even BEFORE we had lived any of them. He wanted us to experience His love & His peace that surpasses ALL understanding; not the type of peace & love we experience in the world but the kind that we can tap into through Christ.( Phil. 4:7, John 14:27). God provided us with an alternative so that we could experience this love & peace. He didn't just leave us on this earth to wonder through life alone & confused. He gave us His son, Jesus. God so loved the world that HE GAVE His only begotten son, that who ever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). No matter what we've done, what we are doing, our habits, our beliefs, or what difficulties we've had in our lives or the horrible events that have occurred, or circumstances that we've found ourselves in, we can ask Jesus into our lives, confess the things we've done that we shouldn't have & unload our burdens on Jesus. Once we allow Him to take the "reigns" of our life then we can truly walk "In the Light."
