A wonderful voice and a very kind man. Once a matelot, always a matelot. Rest in peace, David.

At the song's end David Whitfield barely made that note...Carlos Otero had no problem. Jay Black had to go falsetto.

This sounds great! 'S great what Jay Black did with it, too, of course, but this quite beautiful. Jay went up that extra interval, tho.

Actually met David Whitefield at Leeds Empire in those lovely days of the late 50's - he was a very humble and caring man, with a cheery smile and infectious laugh - and what a voice.

One of my favourite singers of the 50's such a beautiful, clear voice - also loved My September Love. How fortunate were we in the 40's,50's and 60's with our singers who could SING.

I'm only 15, so I guess you could say I'm part of the "new generation", people say all we listen to is rap, hip hop and dirty songs, but I when I heard this, I now realize what my grandfather means when he says, "Music will never be as good as the old days." He told me to find this song; it's one of my favorites.
