I can understand new artists putting their spin on Christmas songs. However it just doesent cut it not because of the songs they choose. It is the artists themselves I heard Adam Levine screaming Happy Xmas (War Is Over) last night at work and WOW can he not sing. Its these Christmas songs that are just timeless Elvis, Carpenters, Bing Crosby, Darlene Love, Brenda Lee, Bobby Helms, Dan Folgerberg the list goes on.

This song would make a great "follow the bouncing ball" song, like they would do with Paramount cartoons, many years ago(that cartoon that used to be shown as a B movie, either before or after the main feature, like in the 1920s up thru like 1960s), where first, the audience would sing along, as a ball bounced along to the lyrics, then, the "live action"part, where the lyrics would be shown turning into what the thing in question was(you get the picture, I'm sure.)Anyway, I can see this song being sung to "Follow the bouncing ball." Great lively Xmas song, even makes you laugh(speaking for myself, anyway.)

I feel like an idiot, i had never heard this song b4 the Target commercials. I love it. Darlene Love really kicks this into gear. Little known fact, Darlene was the late, great Whitney Houston's godmother (not Aretha).
