I think what makes Dans' music so rich, is the use of his instruments. You just don't hear that anymore. It's all digital garbage. This stuff is real. And it touches the inner self. your soul. And that in our connection to God himself. I think that's why Dans' music is so endearing.

As he said; Keep it simple his notes on staff were brilliant. I imagine he must have had a visual playing out in his head while he put the tune out on staff . I can only suppose. I had a copy of a Radio interview done in 1992 My best friend Stuart Murphy who was with Time Warner in Atlanta gave it to me along with some other things.before he passed. Dan Talked a lot about his music. It was lost in the hurricane. I listened to it many times. Happy about the play. Keep the music alive.

Not unlike his other songs, but when I play this one* on my 12string, I play it like I'm trying to break a string, and when I sing it right- - - - EVERYBODY stops to hear these words! I don't care if you listen to his music, people have asked me- - did you write that? ( I only wish I could write this good!) But I can play it- - and sing it :-). Even if it's the first time someones' heard it they stop- - and digest these lyrics, it still amazes me! * "These Days"

Yep that is the story I heard. Henley realy wanted him. He stopped in for a few sessions and they both reaized it would not work. Yes Thank god it didn't. But he remained close friends with all 7 of the Eagles for the remainder of his great life. He is so missed. They all still talk about him.
