The moment I heard 2:25 I knew this was going to be an awesome album! I'm not liking how the bass drum "eats" the cymbals though, way too much compression if you ask me.

It depends dude, if more metalcore/deathcore faggots started listening to Cynic and other metal who knows, maybe hardcore influences in metal will die off.

I totally agree with it sounding like Third Eye. I don't think they sampled it though. Glad I am not the only one that noticed that.

I don't want a bunch of deathcore/metalcore faggots seeing my focus shirt saying ANYTHING about cynic. Any mature metalhead should know who cynic are though...

Cynic was very ahead of its time, but very focused on the past and the future of the human. That is why I consider it one of the best bands of all time. HAIL CYNIC!

Dreginy Let's Plays

Oh yeah I listen to them too, but I didn't consider them since it was only Malone.

Well you've got Gordian Knot, but that's more a project of Sean Malone.

Well what bands are these? All I know of is Cynic, Aeon Spoke and Portal.

@PanzerTank521 Not underrated, because everyone who listens to them thinks they're great. They do deserve a wider audience. But it was still their own decision to release their albums under 4 diffrent band names... Not really conducive for their publicity.

@PanzerTank521 True. They would have had a wider audience if Paul, Sean & Sean didn't release all their albums under 5 diffrent bands...

The first few moments of the album sounds like Tool Third Eye and I wont be surprised if they sampled it.

Sure, Cynic are metal, but they have a lot of jazz and fusion influence. You mosh to metal, but you groove to jazz and fusion. With Cynic, I like to meet in the middle. That is, I would rather stand at the fron, mind my own business, and just fucking nod/bang my head to them. Then again, I don't push people around for any band. I'm certainly no hippy, I just don't care for moshing. That being said, don't judge people because they don't do what you like. Shut the fuck up do your own thing.

@m0eDr3adzz Oh my God, shut the fuck up. You're not better than anyone because of your taste in music; stop acting like such an elitist prick. It's embarrassing for the rest of us who listen to this music.
