Clapton is at his best when he plays the blues. He made some nice other music, but the blues is his thing. Thanks God (Eric of course)

Man...What a band ! Only the true greats can take such a simple song and turn it into virtuosity ! Jack Bruce was still recovering from a liver transplant at the time also. As far as musicianship, they were just so far ahead at the time in the mid-60's. Clapton was put in the middle of two of the best musicians, Bruce and Baker, that England had ever produced and it just made him that much better. He didn't have to write songs or sing much. All Clapton had to do was sit back, learn and play ! What a gig !

This is too good to keep to myself, and even though I'm still a little biased toward Gary and Albert's version, What else can I say? I mean, this is the original Cream, to call them anything but legendary is an understatement!
