well, but pavarotti hasnt sung the yoko kanno version which is inspired on original ave maria, ive got to say this arrangement is wonderful, the orchestra and singer are stellar and the part at ~3:30 put the song on another level simply great10 years ago

you are right. a good part of the reasons why it was so good was that they didnt drag it on for a long time. e.g. ghost in the shell was good, but it was kinda bit too extended in some parts. i guess what i really want is for the anime people to bring back more shows from this genre! dont get me wrong here i like the ecchi based stuff now too, but the new stuff seem to lack that "soul-stirring" abilities in them.11 years ago
