Is it real?

From: Cowboy Bebop

Music by Yoko Kanno

Vocal by Scott Matthew

LYRIC:

Figurines that fall like leaves,

Then diisappear,

Keep calling,

Is it real? Is it real?

Dark machines that wheeze and breathe,

And mark the air,

Appalling

What is real? What is real?

This world can really be too much,

I can't take another day.

I guess that i've just had enough

My mind slipping far away.

I'm falling in and out of touch,

Can someone please explain?

Set my mind for open sky,

But couldn't fly,

And so sadly,

What am I? what am I?

Sullen eyes shed tear-drop lies,

then criticise

Now loving,

What is real? What is real?

It's really all become too much,

I'm not sure what I should feel,

I guess I've really had enough,

I don't know know if this is real.

I'm crashing in and out of touch,

Can anyone explain?

What's the name of that sound clip in the intro? I've noticed it in Resident Evil 4 (typewriter room before the first merchant) and some suspense-thriller Mark Hamill did (after Star Wars? I dunno). There are other instances, but I couldn't name them offhand.

Odd isn't it how both Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Machine have been made into movies? I hope that means that someday Wolf's Rain will be made into a movie also... Ahem, beautiful song... no... no tears *sniff*

Does Scott Matthew know he's an exact voice clone of 2000-era David Bowie?

Sounds about right to me. Sometimes it's better to live in your mind than actual reality. Reality is just a constant let-down, at least it is to me. Very rarely will anything work in my favour, and as this song states, it has all become too much.
