He hasn't written on (though he is working on one) but there are two about him by others. Lauren St. John's "Hardcore Troubadour" is more on the personal life. She was a family friend, but apparently not after the book, about which the Earle's were not happy. David McGee's "Fearless Heart" focuses more on the music, and is better researched, though Steve would not give an interview because of the issues with St. John. Both worth reading by any fan, but taken with a grain of salt.
