Steve Earle performs "Copperhead Road" with The V-Roys live at the Farm Aid concert in Tinley Park, Illinois on October 4, 1997. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. I wish I could still find the version of this song where he played that mean Mandolin a long while before he launched into this classic song.

I saw him on live on SBS "Rockwiz" show that was broadcast from the 2014 Byron Bay Blues Festival. He has a lot less hair and is still chubby but the song still sounded great!

I really liked this song the first time I heard it. Usually live versions suck but not the case here!

A GREAT performance, but from the looks of him, before Steve cleaned up. I'm very, very glad he's still with us!!
