Yeah it is kinda weird. Sometimes I find stuff I think is rather good and special and you can barely find anything on YouTube or other "main" sources. Like Julius Eastman, Chimes & Bells... and there's a really beautiful song on the Natural Born Killers soundtrack called "History Repeats Itself" by AOS that would never even have been published was it not accidentally discovered by the film maker and then used. Makes me wonder what other gems are passing us all by unnoticed.10 years ago

yeah i guess more accesible music will always get more attention. its weird though. there is an english band called rolo tomassi who got very favourable reviews on their new album which was covered by a number of magazines and websites. looked them up on youtube to find a number of their songs had views in the hundreds. its just strange that something can be covered so widely and so well received yet go so unnoticed.10 years ago

Well... a lot of critically acclaimed stuff never gets THAT well known, right? I think something that's more leaning towards some kind of middle is all the more likely to get liked by a lot people.11 years ago
