the guitarist is chuck of death moron! he is NOT the vocalist, but the guitarist. he put this band together. because he no longer wanted to sing but only play guitar! PEOPLE, morons in the comments saying it is chuck...prove their age and lack of knowing...so sad, pathetic!!!

I know people are going to hate me for saying this, but in some ways I like this project better than Death.

they are very much alike, by the fact that chuck was writing this album at the same time as TSOP, an example: story to tell was going to be a song by control denied, and not by death, so chuck's guitar playing style is very similar to TSOP, so the solos can sound like the ones in that album

I think this subtle extent of repetition is all cool

Death yes, Doom... not really. And if you are just here to enjoy the music, then shut up and enjoy it.

I was basically trying to say that Chuck Schuldiner inspired the newer generations doom and death metal bands. Obviously not single-handedly, but the fact remains, he is an early pioneer to the genre. Agree or disagree, I don't really give two shits, I'm just here to enjoy the music.

Chuck is dead but not his soul, his soul parted ways and lives now in every CD and vinyl from Death and Control Denied albums.
