Why can't male singers sing with this level of expression any more? Perhaps they can but are not granted recording contacts ? As good as Ed Sheerhan, Sam Smith et al are in 2015....kids need to re-discover some of the best male vocalists of all time such as Justin Hayward, Clifford T. Ward, Doug Ashdown and of course the great Colin Blunstone. They sang from the heart and not from computer pitch correction software. These days the emphasis in male and female vocals (in particular) seems to be on power and perfect pitch...both at the detriment of expression and vocal phrasing.

Why don't we hear music like this any more? Why are today's singers so talentless and have to dress up in weird clothes to make their point?
