The more I listen to Australian rock, especially pub rock they more I'd like it! Though, I wish they played more of these in the U.S. Cold Chisel's label was Elektra Records that was the same label that sign American new wave band The Cars..

doesn't Jimmy Barnes singing voice sound more like John Fogerty's voice or is some similar? (Creedence Clearwater Revival).

Chisel are seriously the best, i'm glad we have a band in Australia that we can call our own!

Quite a bit of it is from 'Wild Thing' also from the Last STand. But I love the way the video is edited here, especially from the guitar solo onwards. It captures the band in all their full tilt, feral, fuck-it-all glory.

Love this song but just realised the video is an edited version for Rage because the full version has Barnsey sitting on the edge of the stage drinking vodka & singing with the crowd and during the guitar solo he runs trough the crowd. At 2:50 you can see security pulling Jimmy back onto stage

20th Century is indeed a fine, fine piece of our domestic popular rock music craft. Don Walker's songwriting captures so many moments and perspectives of Australian life, both urban and rural - and with chrystaline clarity. Barnes and Moss have two of the most distinctive, complementary and, yes, beautiful male singing voices in our country - voices full of heart, and quite a bit of balls.
