This is the title track from "King Of The Dead" by Cirith Ungol, released in 1984 by Enigma Records (and later re-released in '99 on Metal Blade). I don't know too much about this band, just that their music kicks ass.

I do not own the works or rights to this song.

lyrics: Thunder howls, The King will rise againThe time has come, to pay for all your sinsSilence shattered by his gasping criesHis savage touch will end your world of liesWho has dared to desecrate his cryptShall soon be hanging lifeless in his gripWho has dared to stalk him in the gloomFor he has freshly risen from the tombCrown upon his headKing of the DeadThe sword descends, the blood shall fall like rainIts rising tide will cleanse your world of painHis grip will rob the living of their breathFor as he ruled in life, he rules in death

I rememeber picking up a Metal Massacre tape and Cirith Ungol was on it. Way ahead of their time, kind of has a doom metal feeling to their music. Not radio friendly and that is why so many have never heard of them I think. \m/
