Christy Moore and Friends sing Wally Page's 'Biko Drum', a tribute to the Black South African civil rights hero Steve Biko who was brutally murdered in a jail cell by the Apartheid White South African State. Nelson Mandela also gets a mention.

This is from some program on RTE but fucked if I can't remember what it was. From the same Irish TV program as 'Viva la Quinta Brigada' ( see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Qypb3JIZN4 ), and nabbed from http://www.netsoc.ucd.ie/~justy/ . Enjoy!

Christy sold out to commercialism! Crowds in the Point Depot. The Late Late Show. He has forgotten about nights in the Meeting Place, and Tuesdays nights in the Baggot Inn when he played for the punters that just turned up and paid at the door to hear him. Now its weeks of pre publicity, book online, posters around the city to see him for a night in Vickers Street. I would love on a Saturday night to say Im going out to see Christy, the way we used too! Pay at the door and go home happy.
