An absolutely fantastic track, from the absolutely fantastic album "Wired to the moon", from 1984. The album is seriously underrated, please buy it!

No surprise, yet another marvelous musical contribution from the "master of music." It is amazing that so much talent can be in one human being. Gifted doesn't even come close though he certainly is that and so, so much more. Thank your for this post.

I just recently discovered Chris and I will not go a day for the rest of my life without listening to him - to that exquisite, luscious, sultry, crisp, perfect, clear, and let's not forget, painfully sensuous voice - THE VOICE! He is now my favorite musician, artist bar none! The genius, the artistry, the mastery regarding the guitar, of which he is the Master guitarist, his composing of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, the depth of his soul, his humbleness, his outlook on life, simply blows my mind!!! When I don't feel well, I think of the struggles that he stills endures and then I suck it up and move on! Love this man! LONG LIVE CHRIS! Baci per lei, bello uomo, Chris!

Well England play Ireland at the Aviva Stadium tomorrow. It was a hard choice to make between +Eric Clapton 's "Swing Low" & this as my Go England song.

Great song. Being a soldier at the time...19840000 airlifted into the killing zone... made us proud...

Grew upon Chris and only hope he's got his serious health problems under control. Fantastic artist!

Unfortunately, I believe most of Chris' recordings are underrated and under appreciated. This man is an amazing writer, an exceptional technician and musician. Would pay a bunch o' money if he would once again tour.

Nakke144 you are on the right track..but it goes much deeper than just molding and changing. It gets into full control and threats. Also it is not just the music Indstry ....much bigger....Listen to the album "Road to Hell" by Chris Rhea and you will hear much more clues about this force and there magic. By the way this is the same "winning" that mr S heen speaks of (if you believed he was crazy, you fell for their lies) and many lies and attacks have been plagued on Mr S heen right now.

I will be forever grateful to my brother who introduced me to Chris Rea's music 28 years ago. I have not tired of his music and will never tire. He is simply amazing. Thank you for the post.

@1unsung I was born six years after this album and track was released, and i discovered Chris Rea just over three years ago. Nowadays he is my favourite artist by miles. Living in Finland and being 21 years of age makes for funny reactions when other young people ask me who my favourite artist is. 99% never have a clue who he is. Some people who are the same age as my parents do recognize him though!

@Nakke144 I think that you have nailed it there. I never thought about it much till now; I just always loved the guitar riff and the buzz and percussion. My heart thumps faster to hear this song again, even 25 years after first hearing it. Brilliant and timeless.

@Nakke144 I like your interpetation of the lyrics and i think you are right. It's a terrific song and the lyrics are powerful. Thanks for your email. Sorry i took so long to reply.

@1unsung What do you think the lyrics are about? My take on them is that they describe greedy record companies and producers who mould and change artists even down to their personality to be commercially as successful as it's possible.
