Used to have the album, not a bad track on it,I think bombolini is spiritual, does it mean anything in Italian? I'm a big fan,but I must say the re-mix of "on the beach" is slightly faster and because of that is inferior to the original, but that is only my opinion. I'm still an admirer of Chris's work. Out of interest there is an ice-cream company called 'Marco Rea' in Manchester.---Any relation to Chris's Family ?? ..I,wouldn't be surprised !! Phil in M/CR.

I haven't heard this song since 80s, I think... oddly, it reminds me of Peter Gabriel in the instrumentation/music. I don't recall thinking that before.

This track & "Let It Loose" (the incredible LP version) by Chris Rea were played one afternoon in a Greenwich Village NY record store. I was talking with the register man as about 30 patrons shopped. Within a few minutes playing these songs back to back -- all copies of Chris Rea LPs were sold out. Imagine what Chris would have sold if American radio played his songs. No patron who bought the LPs knew who he was. We laughed. They were all blown away by these two songs alone. Never forget it.
