The merit goes to Chris Bell of course because he wrote it and the way he sings it, it's just beautiful. Since I first discovered the This Mortal Coil version sang by Kim Deal and Tanya Donelly first, where you have the amazing string arrangements of Jocelyn Pook, the song acquires a totally different sensation for me. This is why I feel a closer connection to that version than to this one with C. Bell. I guess, like in all pieces of art, it's all just a matter of a very intimate commotion.15 years ago
