Just another sterile lifeless ballad written by Dianne Warren for Chicago. I bought this on cd back in the summer of 2000. Hearing it every now and then brings back some memories. This album has two excellent songs Robert Lamm's One From The Heart and Chasin The Wind. What makes Chasin The Wind work (sure isn't the lyrics) is Bill Champlin's stellar vocal performance. If you thought Chicago-18 was a bad album I think 21 is even more sterile and cold sounding.

Such an overlooked, underrated song! Dianne Warren wrote some fantastic songs for Chicago, and this, quite possibly is the best! I wish more could appreciated the sheer beauty and power of this music!

Almost as sad as Journey's karaoke replacement.

Bill's vocals are just out of this world on this track. Without a doubt one of the stronger songs on 21, along with Who Do You Love, If It Were You, Holdin On, and God Save the Queen

Gotta love the faddish music industry for deciding we should never hear this one, or Stone of Sisyphus.

I saw Chicago a few times live a few years ago, in the Dawayne Bailey era and Dawayne is an extraordinary guitar player. Still, after seeing 15 concerts over the years, they put on one helluva show and are superb musicians. Music videos do not do them justice.

I Luv Chicago but what they did or do to both Dawayne Bailey and new guy Keith, is shockin' over 3 album's and Bailey only played on 5 to 6 song's because the producer wants to use HIS guitarist! Ive heard and seen Bailey in concert and he could've been the missing link between Hendrix and Ed Van Halen,Can U imagine them telling Kath that the producer has a friend that's playing guitar on this song!!! Bailey was mainly used for his Cetera like high pitch backing vocals.

Those last 2 posts were quotes from Chicago's own website, "chicagotheband". See their history page.

Ironically, Chicago's long-term success made radio resistant to the new music: They were competing with themselves, while their recent hits continued to be played as recurrents."

Chicago Twenty 1 was released in January 1991. Again, the group drew on Diane Warren for two songs, "Explain It To My Heart" and "Chasin' The Wind," and they were released as singles. But this time they did not become big hits. "Those first two singles were really nice songs," says Scheff, "but you're releasing something that you're going to try and top songs like 'Hard Habit To Break' and 'What Kind Of Man Would I Be?"

I don't see how, this was a few years after 'Will you still love me?'
