@Tinker Bell: me too :D I saw it- don't know, twenty times or so in cinema, and later over and over again, and I wished he would come back.

AIN´T IT TIME pieseň skupiny CHICAGO, ktorej autormi autormi boli Donnie Dacus, Danny Seraphine a Warner Schwebke.Dany spieval solo a sprievodný vokál spoločne s Ceterom. Neskôr pracoval s Rogerom McGuinom, Stephenom Stillsom a Bozom Scaggsom a hral vo filmovej verzii musikálu Hair. V piesni Ain´t It Time reagoval na svoje šťastie v oslnivej hudobnej kariere.Skladba pochádza z albumu HOT STREETS, ktorý v rebríčku Billboardu obsadil 12.m. a získal od RIAA platinovú platňu. Dacus hral ešte na albume CHICAGO 13. V skupine ho neskôr nahradil Chris Pinnick.Videoclip pochádza z koncertu v Sportsground v Sydney konanom v roku 1979.

Great song. Yet more proof, if it was needed, that these guys could do any style: rock, pop, jazz, blues, country, funk, big band, you name it. This song sort of reminds me of some stuff on CTA. (Oh, I guess they don't do polkas - ironic, since two of them were Polish:)

Can't people just either like the music or not? In regards to the "lightness" of the latter Kath albums, perhaps someone would like to comment on the stark distinction between the something like "Takin' it on Uptown" from XI and, say, the "AM/PM Mourning/Memories of Love" suite from II?.....

Proof that Chicago DIDN'T go downhill with Donnie................they went downhill when they were dropped from Columbia.

I have a cd called STEPHEN STILLS LIVE that has DONNIE DACUS playing some of the best solos with the style of JIMMY PAGE and the sound of MICK RALPHS. That made me wish that STEPHEN would have ask him to join CSN in 1977 and throughout the 80s and 90' when NEIL YOUNG was never around. DONNIE DACUS is a great singer, guitar player, and songwriter that should not have been forgotten.

My apologies haha and yes i know all of that i own eight Chicago Cd's and only one Journey cd. I just wasnt crazy about Steve Perry and didnt really like anything Chicago did past Chicago-16 (1982) with the exception of a few songs. Check this out a good friend of mine, his sister recently married ex Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine small world hey.

Lumping Chicago in with Journey -- good god -- please -- Chicago is in top 10 all time bands -- their musicianship is complex, songwriting exemplary, vocals amazing from three leads -- Journey is a good band -- Chicago is a great band

I agree completely with you. Donnie was an amazing talent. He could sing, dance, play, act, and write. Check out Roger McGuinn's Peace on You album. He used two of Donnie's songs and had him sing and play on it before he even thought of joining Chicago. He was also in Badfinger for a time after being fired.

Donnie dacus was an AMAZING talent...at the time of Terry's death, I don't think ANYBODY would have lasted. How can you fill Terry Kath's shoes? The same way that Jason Sheff NEVER really completely was able to REPLACE Peter Cetera. Each musician is uniquely different!

Hold on now did you say Escape and Frontiers by Journey are ten times heavier than anything Chicago released. I dont think so man the first Chicago album has way heavier guitar. That Steve Perry era Journey was sell out mainstream sap. Frontiers was a better album with Seperate Ways.
