who ever says Chevelle sounds like tool has a mental problem. tool has a slow weird tribal sound, while Chevelle sound like their own unique band with their own unique sound. if you have noticed Chevelle has changed a lot over the years and that has no correlation with tool because all of their songs sound the exact same. thank you

Has anyone ever heard of the saying "There's nothing new under the sun" ? Well there you go. Rock in general has been around since the 50's. Bands are doomed to repeat or create similar songs. Whether it's on purpose or accident who knows. But I'd think by now we'd all expect some similarities within the confines of their respective genres. If they sound like Tool, awesome. More music that sounds like Tool but yet isn't. If they don't sound like Tool, I'm sure they sound like someone else. Great. More music that sounds like that other band but isn't that band. I just see it as a win win personally.
