these guys were like the link between the Beatles & the Ramones. I can personally attest that 1st lp got major turtable time at Max's Kansas City in 1977..& other late 70s NYC clubs (it has a great melodic yet nasty edge & decidedly non-sweet love-song topics that they gradually lost post-Budokon &"Surrender/I Want You" hit single pop stardom). But "In Color" progressed to powerpop perfection&I wore out the 8-track cassette of it. Still glorious + the more total harmonic distortion the better.

HEY MAN ALL I KNOW IS I SAW CHEAP TRICK WITH UFO AND GAMMA AT THE PROVIDENCE CIVIC CENTER IN 1982 OR 1980 AND I SAW CHEAP TRICK AT THE OCEAN STATE THEATRE IN 1982 OR 1980. @oozilchoo HEY MAN I THINK THIS SHOW WAS AT THE OCEAN STATE THEATRE, I WAS THERE I WAS 16 YEARS OLD. THE SHOW WITH UFO WHICH IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS AND GAMMA WAS AT THE PROVIDENCE CIVIC CENTER IN 1982 I THINK. I HAD FOURTH ROW CENTER THATS WHEN I WOULD GET TO THE PROVIDENCE CIVIC CENTER AT ONE OCLOCK IN THE MORNING TO GET A NUMBER FOR MY PLACE IN LINE UNTIL THE DOORS OPENED SO EVERYONE IN LINE COULD BUY THIE TICKETS. UFO WAS A LAST MINUTE ADD ON TO THE SHOW . PAUL CHAPMAN ON GUITAR.
