This song was in part the inspiration for The Smashing Pumpkins' "Tonight, Tonight" according to Billy Corgan.

Never should of let you go so easy 34 years ago. But if it's meant to be you won't go.As if IN ''If you love something set it free -If it comes back to you it was meant to be - If it don't it never was...''

Great song! I was so happy to find them as my favorite band in the mid 1980's! I walked into a record store one day in 1985 and have never looked back! I bought all of the albums that they had and then became a BIG fan! I have seen them at least 20 times in the last 20 years! Best rock band in the world!!

@zacandtaylorrule Kurt was a fan of Cheap Trick and they influenced all in Nirvana, the proper way to see the resemblance is how much Cobain took from Robin, hell Robin was almost 20 years older. :O) both great talents, but Robin is head and shoulders above (damn the hair pun)... (as rick would say) "My lead singer is better than yours"

@aplaceinfrance Very interesting point. Thank you for the insight.

@HeavenBelowMusic I have to agree. They have a formula that works well. Down to the details--the "sound checking" "Hello There," and Bun E.'s unique ghosting on the snare. I just can't get enough of this band's awesome sound. Rock and Roll HOF! Let 'em in! We'll break down the doors!

A little bit of rock archeology Listen the Nazz Nazz tune : under the ice Not the same song, just the same guitar line... Rick Nielsen and Todd Rundgren were closed friends. Todd produced one Cheap Trick album. And Rick replaced Todd in Nazz Nazz and took the stage with them during some months around 1969.
