I have heard that the drugs Anita had to take did a lot of damage, and ended her life early. I use to listen to her and the rest of the family, as a child near Knoxville, when they were on WNOX every day at noon, and on Saturday night.

Gotta love June. The jokester of the bunch. Saying Helen always got "pleats" in her stomach when playing the accordion! Its foolish to say which one of the sisters sang better. Because they're all legends. Anita and Helen sang at a higher range than June. June always had the gravel in her voice. Kinda like Sarah Carter. Anita may have been the babe of the bunch early on. But they were all ridiculously hot. One talented family that makes me proud to say I'm from Virginia.
