Es la primera vez que escucho estos 2 temas, la voz de Karen tiene la particularidad de llegar al fondo del alma y hace adorar sus canciones...ella es inolvidable.

KC's Baby Its You is hauntingly beautiful. Best version for me!

I've always loved Bacharach/David and the Carpenters, so this is a double treat. Anyone who wasn't aware of it will now know what a terrific drummer Karen was. The fact that this old black-and-white clip from the days of lip sync is truly live makes this extra special.

As if Karen is not cool enough, Richard is such a stud in these old videos. Tall, blond, talented...drool.

"To my ears she has quite the most exquisitely beautiful voice of anyone I've ever heard. I know others share my view." You're in good company, Alan! The most gloriously beautiful voice on earth, without any tricks, gimmicks, or yelling. Simply the best. RIP, karen.

& I too saw them once - at the Edinburgh Playhouse around 1976 - right after her first bout of illness related to anorexia. I remember thinking that on stage she look extra-ordinarily thin - it was terrifying. But oh that voice - even signing live - an unforgettable night. A unique talent. I doubt I shall ever hear another like her.

Came across this little gem a few months back - and I thought I'd heard all of their material. To my ears she has quite the most exquisitely beautiful voice of anyone I've ever heard. I know others share my view. I totally except their musical choices weren't to everyone's taste - she became typecast as the woman who was forever singing these rather staid romantic ballads. But no one could sing them quite like Karen - and just once in a while it's great to re-discover my love of their music.

@chrsgv I agree..."Any Day Now" is a great tune...be cool if they recorded a full-verison of the song!...I'm still wanting to hear some of the rest of the "unreleased" tunes in the vaults...Even though Richard says there isn't anything else worthy of relases...i think different...

Have to give credit to Richard. His version of "Any Day Now" is spectacular. He had a knack for choosing songs best suited for Karen.

@greenwich1754 Ironically The Carpenters even stated that they hated the "goody two shoes" image the media portrayed, and agreed with quite a few of the anti-establishment ideals at the time.

I never saw this part before. Bob Messenger comes out of nowhere to play the tenor solo (I thought it was Doug Strawn) , then I realize he was playing bass all the time. Boy, I missed that one.

I've said it before/here goes again for those non-scroller comment people: Arguably the best (everything is always arguable) 11 minutes or so of concert music on film. Smooth, precise, flowing, and Karen vocals at peak. Yeah, and Carpenters were "goody two shoes/sugary sweet". i'll take that over the devil worship crap music that ensued (to this day)

to say that KC is missed is an understatement. Her vocals are hard to describe in words, incredibly mature for her age as if she's lived the lyrics.

"baby it's you" is a beautiful song and it's sung so warmly, sweetly, and smoothly by karen that it feels a little unreal.
