@cbwell77 People being at a church doesn't make them Christians any more than people being in a garage make them a person a car. (Like you said, its sad to think that the parents aren't bringing their children up with proper morals and values) Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with being gay or anything, but being a Christian should make people more humble, and not like those kids and idle parents you saw.

Let's get something straight; Christians are the MAJORITY in this country. This video depicts Christians as victims who live in a society that will not accept them; meanwhile these same evangelicals marginalize anyone who doesn’t agree with their doctrine. I don’t know who many times I have walked through Phoenix First Assembly and heard small kids openly making fun of gays, and calling homosexuals faggots within earshot of adults who do nothing about it. This video is ludicrous.

@scruethedemiurge I have joy that is unspeakable. My joy does not depend on the circumstances around me. Things can be going wrong all around me but my joy remains. For me, it was always impossible to be happy when things were not going my way unless I had a little "help". It was humanly impossible but now, it is easy and I know this is only because I turst in Someone much greater than me, Someone who holds my future in His hands and who know everything about me and still loves.

@scruethedemiurge The proof that God exists is that I was empty, I was lost. I had an overwhelming void in my life. I tried to fill that void with everything out there and I do mean everything. All that did was cause me pleasure for a season but when I was alone, I was empty again. When Jesus came into my life, that void was filled with peace and love. It was not a mind trick and I new that because I had tried every mind trick there was. This feeling was and is in my heart.

@jomess7879 Furthermore, you say "God will reveal himself to you if you believe." Do you see the problem here? What you're describing is a simple mental trick. What you're recommending amounts to nothing more that believing in someone in the first place, asking that person you already believe in to reveal himself and then doing a little mental trick convincing yourself you've just now been convinced of what you've already believed all along and predetermined to be true. It's simple psychology.

@jomess7879 First of all, asking for "proof" of gods existence was rhetorical, not serious. The god idea is not even remotely interesting to me. Furthermore, you say "ask god to reveal himself to you". Well, anyone who does that, already believes in god - is already convinced of it. It's like me writing to you right now; I wouldn't be writing to you if I wasn't already assuming your existence. You don't talk to people you don't already believe in - not even to ask them to reveal themselves.

@scruethedemiurge if you want proof that God is real and you are truely searching then heres what you need to do, find a quiet place and get on your knees and open your mind and ask God to reveal Himself to you and He will if you believe, take a step of faith

@scruethedemiurge ok, The proof is "ISREAL" If you study Isreal historically, everything God said He would do for them, and to them has happened! Before Isreal was a nation they were slaves in Egypt...God took them out, and gave them a home...once they disobeyed God, he took that home away from them. For more on this read Deuteronomy 4:32...Pastor Carl Gallups has a great teaching on this...Look him up and listen to it!
