bad recordings are what i think are best for this genre though...over produced material ends up being fake. it's all about that raw natural tone. who cares if you accidentally sound a harmonic on a chord choke, it's raw music and that's one of the main points to this genre in the first place, pure emotion, pure soul.

@josephmarshall Very good point, honestly, I made that comment when I first heard this album, but after a while of listening to it more, I really take back the mediocre comment, in fact, I'll go ahead and delete it. I've never heard so much substance and emotion in vocals.
