Down Down Down

Come to see her in the river

She'll be there to wave to you

In the hope that you'll forgive her

She will join you there.

Find out that now was the answer to answers that you gave later

She did the things that we both did before now and who forgave her?

Now you see how down you've fallen

Now you hear your conscience call

Thank yourself alone for not stalling

I'm not there to call

Call me a fool, 'cause I need her and see her but you're really down there

Something inside you will tell you

I'm wise to what you're spreading round.

If I could stand to see her cryin'

I would tell her not to care

When she learns of all your lyin'

Will she join you there?

Find out that now was the answer to answers that you gave later

No, it's not in Country Girl. If you have the albulm, you will notice that the track that includes this is titled, "Down, down, down/Country Girl". They are two segued songs and are attributed as such. As a non-weiner, I won't disable replies.

Interesting I hadn't ever heard this version. It's a stripped down song that is the seed for a section of "Broken Arrow", By Buffalo Springfield, and another section that is woven into Crosby Stills Nash and Young's "Country Girl". It sounds brilliant on its own. I don't remember this appearing on any Buffalo Springfield album. Oh I see, it's unreleased. What a gem! If you love this band, listen to the two songs I named above. Genius isn't too strong a word for these guys.

Be thankful for the little things in life. Actually, Stills gave us a LOT. All of Buffalo Springfield, four decent to fantastic solo albums PLUS all the CSN ( Y). I love their first three LPs' . The last one of theirs I really loved was CSN. But that's a TON of good music. Thank you Stephen. We love you!

Crosby Stills Nash & Young included a portion of this song in their suite "Country Girl," which had three parts that were inscrutable with each other.
