Has there been a better song written in the history of music? Good luck trying to find it! "Thunder Road" is still the greatest song that I have ever heard, and it will my remain as my favorite until the day that I die.

Saw Bruce two nights after this show. It was hot and humid-not unusual for NJ in Sept. Since then have seen him many, many times but this show- the BEST Racing In The Streets into Thunder Road. The Capitol Theater classic venue for a rock and roll show.

There are very few perfect songs. This is one. The words, the music and the voice fit together perfectly. I will always love this song. It speaks of the pain and joy of life.

We got one last chance to make it real, to trade in these wings on some wheels, climb in back, heaven's waiting down on the tracks

As much as I like his recent acoustic performances nothing is better than The E Street Band rocking together, especially at the end! Man! I love this song!

Ah, the intro the speech he does and Roy's piano. Seems they have studied every single words and notes. I bet it is all natural though. I have never seen a band so tight. Thanks E-Street.There was this, Robert Mitchum movie. It was about these moonshine runners down south. I never saw the movie I only saw the poster in the lobby in the theater. Yeah and I, I took the title and I wrote this song. I didn’t think that there was ever a place that was like, I was like, what I wrote this song about. I didn’t know if there was or not. And we were out in the desert, over the summertime, driving to Nevada, and we came upon this house on the side of the road that this Indian had built. Had a big picture of Geronimo out front, said ‘Landlord’ over the top… Had this big sign said “This is a land of peace, love, justice and no mercy.” And it pointed down this little dirt road that said “Thunder Road.”

Taped this concert live over the radio when I was in College. Have the tape but no player. Will never forget the dedication to this song.
