@imadubaiguy Check out the version in which Emmlou joins Bruce to perform Across the Border at a show at Giant's Stadium, in front of about 60,00-0 people. He toured alone, solo, acoustic, 95-97, and closed the main set with this. I think you'd want to hear that - and there are a hundred boots - before saying someone surpassed Bruce. Alone, literally. Just Bruce, 4 or 5 guitars, and harmonicas. You could hear a pin drop for 2 hours. "For what are we, without hope in our hearts." Genius!

one of the very few songs from the boss where a particular cover version is even better than his - check out the version performed by linda ronstadt and emmylou harris, backed by neil young and his band, from their western wall sessions. great song.
