Hey Vil Clancy and all you other judgers criticizing the circumstances when Patty and Bruce got together -- how he supposedly hurt Julianne and was still married -- what the hell do any of us know about that relationship and the exact circumstances of the time?? Were you close personal friends of the Springsteen clan who knew all the facts? Do you believe Bruce and Julianne had some sort of blissful union which was ruined by Patti?? Both Bruce and Julianne -- and Patti, for that matter -- have refrained from discussing something so personal I suspect because it is not ANYONE's business. What little reliable sources there are regarding that time period and given what Bruce has shared about himself from that time, it is clear compatibility was an issue for them. As far as we can tell, Bruce and Patti seem happy and one thing that has been proven time and time again is people from very similar backgrounds tend to have a higher success rate at marriage -- take a look the YouTube video interview with Patti, "Married to the Boss" and she mentions their similar backgrounds. Frankly,I am sick of all the judgers online who seem to think their moral compass is so great they are in a position to judge a relationship they know little to nothing about.

This is really beautiful. Thank you. When all that stuff came out a few years ago about Bruce having an affair, I just admired both of them so much for handling it privately (as Bruce handled his divorce from Julianne with as much dignity as possible). None of us can imagine the difficulties of being married for people as famous as this. They have 3 children, have kept their family life private, and have stayed married through things we can't imagine. I DO think they are great role models.

Patti has been bashed left and right (I used to think that way myself, having been a fan for 35 years.) But at the end of the day, she is just what Bruce needed. She had the love, the patience and the kindness... I wish them a long, happy life together.

Im not so sure Julianne was all that hurt or surprised...You're right, Bruce & Patti's affair was wrong, and Patti should've waited at least until he and Julianne had split to start chasing him. I dont know why Julieann married him in the first place. She knew he wanted children, but she refused to give them to him. She wanted to pursue her acting career instead. So her focus was on herself, not him and their marriage. Patti knew an unhappy man when she saw one.

BJ robin is dead on..... plus don't make Julianne out to be the victim here. Bruce fell hard for her because of her looks.. then found out soon after "the honeymooon was over" that they wanted different things.... Bruce wanted a family, Julianne didn't... She wanted her career..... Patti was in love with him before Julianne ever came on the scene and Bruce didn't see it..... Time has proven they were the ones meant to be together and clearly both wanted the same things :) Bravo to them!!!
