On this day in 1957 {Oct. 16th} the Alan Freed movie 'Mister Rock and Roll' had its world premier at the Paramount Theater in New York City. Brook Benton's "If Only I Had Know" was featured in the film, it did not make Billboard's Top 100 chart. In fact it would be 5 months later on March 10th, 1958 before he would enter the Top 100 for the first time, the record was "A Million Miles From Nowhere" {it stayed on the Top 100 for four weeks, peaking at #82}.
