True, but some people might prefer a cover version to the original, even though it might not have meant to be outperform the original. It's just people's own musical taste. The respect the coverband has for the original artist doesn't have a thing to do with what people like or don't like, people just like different things.

I like this the chorus in death metal is different. Way cool that you didn't just mimic Metallica. The singer reminds me of Volbeat. The bass and guitar solos are different. Very cool and original. Sounds more Cliff Burton. The guitar sounds original to me. Love this keep on going. I am a fan now.
