Despite numerous attempts, I don't any modern rock bands have managed to attain and maintain the high standards that the Bonzos set in their day. Vivian lives on!

Ive got the Urban spaceman single somewhere, I remember playing this on my older sisters record player when I was about 5 or 6 in the early 70s. I loved both songs back then along with Quick Joey small, simon says, the Unicorn etc. Great songs for little kids.

Didn't Paul McCartney do something with them in 1967? I believe he joined in on some barking dog sounds. From there, he added that bit to the end of Hey Bulldog.

Even a demented deconstruction of '50's styled rock was preferable to hippie jams of the era ('King of Scurf' being my personal fave). And yes, I can definitely see the (early) Roxy Music connection. Never realized how much Viv looks (and acts) like a young Martin Mull. The Bonzos were popular in Cleveland, which may explain it.
