On May 27th the first ever listening of the new Boards of Canada album 'Tomorrow's Harvest' took place in the middle of the Californian desert. Decoded from a graphic and a film, with no promise of what lay at the end of the road - around 100 fans drove for up to 15 hours to this long-abandoned water park.

A week later, on Monday 3rd June, the album was broadcast to the whole world live in its entirety...

I think Badalamenti revolves much more around classical themes whereas BOCs aesthetics have a ubiquitous technological undertone. In the interviews they mentioned old soundtracks. This does not mean that the comparison is invalid, i just think is not accurate.

It may be inspired by Angelo Badalamenti to some extent. It really recall me Mulholland Drive" movie of David Lynch: the same darkness, the same aerial synthetic sounds...

there is a fine line between being genuinely pretentious, and just stating something in an interesting way ... a line worth learning my friend

Since I left a comment for the Boards of Canada video, one can assume it wasn't for Blue Oyster Cult. Blue Oyster Cult is a southern rock band and Boards of Canada is electronica group. So have I answered your question correctly?
