Seven-man group from Cincinnati. This was much better than "Billy, Don't Be A Hero" and is ignored by oldies stations.

A better song than "Billy, Don't be a Hero," it didn't do as well. Takes me back to the great Summer of 1974.

Totally agree with Mr. Trashcan. This was Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods best song. It should've been a much bigger hit.

Don't argue which version is better. Anything the 70s would be outstanding.

I really liked this song from 1974. Even in 1974 they did not play it enough.

The original British hit is by Candlewick Green from 1974, and has the edge on this one. The song was written by Des Dyer and the late Clive Scott of Jigsaw who also did the song. St. Etienne covered it in the 1990s in a radically different version. Enduring song.

Sybille, I agree on what you've said. I was in the hospital for six weeks from Sept. to Nov. of 2012, and now these good old songs have been going through my head!!
