From late 1974, this song creeped into the top forty, hitting #39 on the Billboard Hot 100. Not quite as catchy as Billy, Don't Be A Hero or Who Do You Think You Are, but still a nice slice of mid-70's era bubblegum pop.

Vicki Lynn was Bo's sister I believe, who was married to Gary back when they were big. I used to go see them at WDW in the 70's, and got to meet them a few times. Very polite and nice guys to a thirteen year old girl back then...does anyone know what happened to them? I have read that Bo still tours, but what about the others? Mike G, Rick J., Gary, Nick...where are they now?

@4evereden61 Glad to hear they're a decent bunch of guys--they always seemed like they would be polite. Not a bunch of arrogant jerks!! You're lucky to have seen them--oh well--I'll always have videos!! :)

@tubeboob49 I think it's cool that your cousin is Gary! My Grampa (God rest his soul) used to drop my Aunt (only 4 years older than me), my sister, my cousin and me off at the concerts before my Aunt could drive. Those guys were a very nice bunch, very fan friendly and down to earth. My Aunt always liked Bo and has gone to see him perform a couple of times in recent years. They've talked before but I guess neither one was free to go out at the time.

@4evereden61 That's cool! Gary is my cousin, but I've never met him! I grew up in Indiana and would have given ANYTHING to have been able to have been in So. California in the 70s'! I was a big fan of the band before I knew I had a relative in it!

It may take a few listens to get into, but this is actually better than their previous two singles. This should've charted higher than it did. I heard this the other day on "American Top 40 - The '70s" for the week ending December 14th, 1974. Bravo, Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods!

@heine71 Too bad the Bo Donaldson fan club is extinct, but there's always might be a Bo Donaldson fan site on the web somewhere...

Wow, I forgot about this song. I was all of 12 yrs old when I had a crush on these guys. Saw them and met then many times at Knott's Berry Farm, Anaheim Stadium and on the ship to Catalina Island. I still have all their autographs, records and the pics I took with them. Hearing these songs takes me back to my youth. My crush was Gary at the time. I remember all of them though, Gary, Rick,Mike,Dave, Nicky, Scott and of course Bo. This is Gonna be the Last Blue's Song" sung by Rick was a good one

Another great song of theirs that nobody has posted is "Hang your lamp in the window". Could've been a hit; had a great melody.
