Yes, the way she phrases "temptation" gives her away too, IMHO The difference (legal-wise!) here is that Heather actually sang the lyrics to the track, while they lifted (AKA sampled) the Loleatta Holloway vocals from 'Love Sensation'. In short, Heather knew her vocals were going to be used (rather obviously!), Loleatta did not.

Clearly Heather Small. How weird, they use uncredited vocals by Loleatta, get into legal crap then re-release with yet more uncredited vocals! Anyone who had an ear could tell straight away though that it was Heather... listen how she phrases "temptation..."

Heather could really sing & was also a good deal more versatile than this. I always thought despite pop success & ongoing recognition & awards by record industry bodies for dance music) M People limited Heather Small, whose career could have been richer, & also limited the producers. I'd often to pinch myself to remember it's once great, pretty underground house man Mike Pickering behind M People, going formulaic & disco chart. Not saying there was something wrong with them. But very limited.
