I went through this mix, and took clips of all the vocals. Then, I went through Loleatta Holloway's "Love Sensation" and did the same. Then I compared them by listening to them over and over again. I know, I have too much spare time.While the vocals are really similar, there are differences that you'll notice if you listen to short clips over and over again. It's definitely Heather Small singing "you're such a hot temptation". The "you get down" sample near the end is completely different to the way Loleatta Holloway sang it.If anyone wants the samples I took, for educational purposes only obv, drop me a message.

@verinahus A re-recording of the song with uncredited vocals by Heather Small was released as "Ride on Time (remix)" (later released as "massive mix") in the second week of September 1989, and the original Holloway version was discontinued from distribution. This is the Heather Small version.

Loleatta Holloway sang the original, it was Black Box who didn't have permission to steal Loleatta's vocals and lyrics.

She did do it. She sang this quite a few times most notably on RI:SE on Channel 4 some years ago. This is Heather Small, Loleatta Holloway made a version however was never allowed to release it due to a bust up for not having permission.

Hate to break it to you, but this isn't Heather Small. It's Loleatta Holloway. Black Box took Loleatta's vocals from the song Love Sensation to make this song. But I have to say, Heather Small would do a fantastic job on this song should she ever decided to do it.

yes loleatta's vocal are on the original pressing of this track but since the group black box hadn't got permission to use her vocals and she was gonna sue them and the record label they decided to redo the whole vocals and that is why the single was released again as the epson and ascot remixes which have heather small on them maybe because she was on the same label that it came out on deconstruction records
