So what leaders do is often a reflection of their readings of what the congregations like. As an individual member you must have frequent scheduled personal Bible reading and study, personal prayer and meditation, and also a keen desire to follow Christ. If you have this desire the Holy Spirit will guide you in truth. Also when in doubt about anything ask about it. If you don't get a satisfactory explanation, seek clarification from other sources Members get the leadership they tolerate. To Keep a church organization focused on God, starts with individual members being focused on Christ.When the ugly issue of homosexuality reared its head in the church/congregation, I consulted with the pastor who I discovered had gone to the dark side. My wife and I chose to leave, thinking the grass may be greener and not wanting to be a disrupting/dividing influence. This was a big mistake. I was standing in the right, the pastor was wrong and I should have contended for the faith. Two weeks after leaving we got word the pastor had answered a "calling" to another church in Austin ... which should explain much.I learned it is not divisiveness to contend for the old things which have got us here. Black ink on white paper is not that difficult to understand. Submission to His word and will is the hard part. The grass isn't usually greener some place else.I have been studying Exodus. 19 -20 mostly today. I see the church asking us to build them a god they can see, feel ,and touch. So many are quick to forget we worship the unseen God. I do not know my place yet in ministry i have so much to learn but i wish the church would wake up! Soon the offering plate will be passed around for jewelry and gold to once again fashion a god they can see.

Christians hold the belief that after Paul we shouldn't cover our heads, but yet we continue to cover our heads when addressing the Church(believers in Christ) why? corinthians11.7 peops, are we chasing Christ' or finding a way to mix Christ' into our culture and wants, changing Christ rather than ourselves. whats the lesson we teach when we listen to one line of truth, and other lines such as 1cor11.7 don't mean anything?
