Bangles - Song For A Good Son video free download
Are you ready for a brand new video? It's another epic story put to a Michael song, just like Between the Two. I had to extend the song as well, just to get all the story told. The basic story is pretty much what the song talks about. Though we changed it a little. Michael is singing the song from the perspective of her husband, John Smith. He abuses her just like his dad used to beat him. And he keeps having flashbacks to the day his mom died. Then while fighting with Michael, he realizes he is just like his abusive father.

Well, you know, The Bangles released an album called "Doll Revolution" (which this song is taken from, BTW). Some could even argue that this was a group of "dolls" from start to finish. The elaborate and consistent direction to this video really gives the song a whole new meaning.13 years ago

Cool video, this song is an underrated gem in the Bangles' repertoire. I don't think the lyrics actually refer to abuse, however. Here is what she said about the song in a Q&A done on the message board of the Bangles (some time before she left the band) : "I wrote it about a friend who's no longer with us -- I guess I wrote it form his point of view because I wanted him to have a voice even though he was gone".14 years ago

Good video for a great song. A shame Michael left, what is left of this band doesn't seem to be capable to do anything new and is stuck with nostalgia shows and two song tributes to artists who actually were pioneers and didn't just claim to be one. Also the live qualities dropped a lot with bad singing and interchangeable bandmembers. Quick, name the latest bassist! Hell, their latest "concert" had Susanna Hoffs playing tambourine and nothing else! And the notorious Vicki Peterson sang lead.Gah16 years ago
