I strongly dislike this performance but this is the only version I have, I'm sorry.

There´s nothing much wrong with the interpretation. A little mechanic, but yes, it´s a difficult piece. May be if we had Cziffra still live it would have been a lot better, otherwise, I can´t see how this can be improved, unless perhaps if played by VOLODOS.

What a great piece of music! Genius of originality and concept. I guess I have nothing to compare it to but I enjoyed the performance very much.

By the way FroZy, and anyone who has commented publicly that (s)he dislikes this performance, I personally like it.

Hi FroZy, on mulling over your comments to my remark, I see you're right. I didn't mean this as harsh as it comes across. But I'm sure you won't disagree there are rather a lot of critical people who pull a musical performance to bits just for the sake of having a gripe.

Probably ironic. I hate this kind of comment. If we follow your point of view, no one will comment anymore. Or just some people.. And if you believe that the interpretation is really bad, but you can't play this, you are not allowed to give your point of view. This kind of people annoy me..

Because he can.

Of course, all these commenters who criticise what they are hearing can play far better ...

" Agitato vivace " Why he plays the beginning so slowly..?

This rendition is, in fact, boring. The piece is incredible, though.

Paley is such a dry performer - sample his Scriabin and Rubenstein Etudes; I agree, a lousy version.

This is one of the coolest things I've ever heard! Being familiar with the preludes, I truly appreciate that someone went and totally awesome-ized two of them (even though they are great standing alone). I wonder what Chopin would have done if he heard this, probably would have fainted and jizzed himself at the same time...
