it's amazing the number of people still today, who, call Badfinger's WYWH "one of my favorite albums of all time" (or something similar). Most amazing for an album Warner Bros YANKED from distribution mere weeks into it's initial release, and it would be almost 20 years before it would be made available again. And just for the record,yes, it's one of MY favorite albums of all time. Original vinyl here.

So crazy how the audio cuts out at my absolute favorite part of the song. One question for you Barb or anyone else out there. Is the line, "Oh no, what to do? Just makes it hard, to choose"? Or is it, "Don't know what to do, just makes it hard to choose"? Online it's listed as the latter, but the former sounds more like what he says to me. Molland is a legend, and a songwriting genius.

I couldn't agree more with your comments about this song being one of the greatest endings to an album ever. I always thought that Wish You Were Here was Badfinger's Abbey Road (actually, I prefer WYWH). Billy Davis does a great job on vocals here, but it's too bad he got the lyrics wrong. It should be, "Why do they play so hard to get?"
