Bad Religion!!!! \m/

Label: Epitah Records

Producer: Joe Barresi

I dont own the rights I just want to the people to ear good music

Writer: Greg Graffin

Lyrics:

See all people in Afghanistan praying to the gods and living in the sand

Somebody's gonna have to set them free, nobody hears the call or command

But it's a long way to Harlem, and a long stretch to the king of Siam

And if you don't have a penny, why should I give a damn?

Ad Hominem.

You think you're better than I am?

Ad Hominem.

You think you're better than I am

See all the suckers in the handout line living on scraps and they don't have a dime

Waiting for endless charity devoid of any sense of posterity

Well there's no Great Depression and there's no Great Society

And only few go to heaven, all the rest are damned and free

Ad Hominem.

You think you're better than I am?

Ad Hominem.

You think you're better than I am

I'm just a soft-cover version of a much harder tale

A walking resemblance of ruts in the trail

Is it possible to divide your ideas and beliefs

Ideas and beliefs

Ideas and beliefs from the people that you don't like?

Ad Hominem.

You think you're better than I am?

Ad Hominem.

You think you're better than I am

Actually just one part of the song is similar to californication... The way he sings ''See all people in Afghanistan praying to the gods..'' sounds similar to ''Psychic spies from China try to steal your mind elation''... of course its just a similarity, nobody stole nothing ;) They just sing that in similar way

@jb111082 No, you want to know their worst, look up "Into The Unknown". You'll find some shit you'd really rather not know about. I didn't like "how could hell be any worse", because I wasn't crazy about the idea of greg singing like Dez or the guy from the adolescents. He isn't a screamer, he sings. Beginning with suffer, he got it right.. I love their new stuff, I own and love new maps of hell, LOVE process of belief, dissent of man is cool (what I've heard), I just didn't enjoy New America.

@AdamRainStopper dude, Suffer was the greatest album of all freaking time man. Honestly though, I've been jamming them since I was a young lad myself (I think I was 8 when I was introduced to them) and New America, in my opinion, is a good album. Not steller, and definately not as good as Suffer, Against the Grain, No Control, How Could Hell Be Any Worse, Generator, or others, and I'll agree it's probably their worst. But their worst is better than most band's best!!

@jb111082 Well, yes it was. McDonald's is better than most of the crap you find in the dumpster, but you won't catch me PAYING for it. I've listened to BR since I was 6 or 7 years old, and my foster-parents at the time (who were kinda the pre-internet equivalent of the "crusading atheist") bought me "Suffer" on vinyl. I hold them to a very high standard, and that album fell very short of that standard.

@AdamRainStopper I liked New America. Granted it wasn't the greatest, but it was good. Better than most of the crap on the radio!

"Play yer old stuff!" shouts a die-hard fan. Why? Their new stuff rocks. I sit in coffee shops with my acoustic, and people demand songs I did with my band when I was 17. Out of respect, I only play that stuff WITH THEM, but I also think my new stuff is the best I've written. I'm sure BR feel the same. They keep getting better (except "New America"). I love this and Process of Belief. I wish I could produce like they do. It sounds tight. I try, but even my new stuff is barely worthy of youtube.
