Great tune by a great song writer. He and many others were big influences on The Beatles, etc. For me, whenever The Beatles covered someone else, The Beatles' version became the standard version. However that does not detract from the original. After all I ended up here because I knew Arthur Alexander wrote some of my favorite tunes because of The Beatles. Marshall Crenshaw also does a great version of this tune.

Alexander blows it outta the park here. God this just KILLS the version bouncing about attributed to the Beatles. When did the Beatles EVER cover a song and make it suck? Listen to Anna. A nice tune by Alexander but Lennon rips his heart out on that and Ringo lays a stainless steel groove. Are the fake posts just to satisfy an ego or just stupidity?

I heard this song when it was first recorded in 60or 61 loved it from the first time. author alexander was from Alabama I think.
