Aporea was a shortlived multimedia project that published only one music piece of work - a DIY tape with 5 songs in 1988. The tape is called Na rjekah vavilonskih (By the rivers of Babylon). When Aporea ceased with other creative outputs and concentrated only on music, they became Anastasija, the band that got famous by making the soundtrack for Milcho Manchevski's film Before the Rain. Anastasia later made a single titled same as the casette and it contained a different rendition of the song Na rjekah vavilonskih.

Aporea was a loose collective of people of whom the most prominent were Goran Trajkoski, Zoran Spasovski, Metodi Zlatanov and Neven Ćulibrk.

Goran Trajkoski took part in some other notable projects - Saraceni, Padot na Vizantija, Mizar, Anastasija...

The name of the song means World Before the Birth (of Christ).

The tape artwork was done by Lazar Lečić, painter-iconographer and calligrapher, who was also a part of Aporea collective.
