i don't think this faster tempo is her style, b'cos i've heard of this rendition in the game somewhere, although not similarly. so i guess it's still original composed by Mr. Nobuo, not just being improvised by her.

I guess you could argue that from a technical standpoint Angela Aki does it better, but I think the way Faye sings is what makes Faye's singing her own, because she's known for that soft and delicate way of singing. Its her style. Its like how Angela Aki's known for her powerful and passionate singing style. But yeah, I'm gonna stop and just say that they're both amazing.

I always thought Faye's version had a more magical touch to it, with her soft and almost delicate voice. Kind of has a dream-like feel to it(no pun intended). Angela Aki is amazing and I love her singing, and her rendition of this song is great too because its sung in a different perspective. However, I think Angela lacks the magic that Faye brought into the song.

The melody is indeed captivating but while this version is better than the original in terms of grammar, I personally find some of the sentences jarring and out of place. No disrespect to any of the fans at all I just feel like it could be rewritten slightly while keeping the feel and story of the song (the first half is pretty much fine as it is).
