Simon actually appalogized to David the next night for being a bit disrespectfull. David would have been much bigger but he took a year off to be with his brother who was dieing of cancer I believe. He had probably my favorite voice from all the idols. It has a rasp & smokyness to it that is awesome.

David Cook is the reason I started watching Idol. My husband isn't really into music like I am so I would go along with what he wanted to watch until I heard David sing. After that, I got the time slot that Idol was on and he has learned that it's going to be the same way with XF. One more month and season 3 starts!

I had to look her up because I wasn't familiar with her name. I didn't see much of the show that year and wish I would have. I liked the one "Heart" song that she did even if Randy blasted her for it. I have listened to a lot of videos of Archie and of course David Cook. I really love him and his song choices. I bawled when he came back the following year and sang "Permanent" on the finale just a couple of weeks after losing his brother. Coming in 6th is very respectable in my opinion! :)
